Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas

To quote the famed character Jack Skellington, the movie is "Fantastic!"

Although it is somewhat inferior to modern movies, this 1993 stop-motion classic is one of the darkest and best Disney movies of all time. In the movie, Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, begins feeling like he need something different. So, after the usual Halloween festivities, Jack runs off and sings out his feelings on the famed swirly hill, while a living rag-doll, Sally, watches contently. She feels the same way, and even has a crush on him. So after Jack finishes his song, he runs off to the woods, wanders the woods for the whole night, and comes across something new...

SPECIAL POST on CBS's Moonlight

Moonlight is a TV show on at 9 o'clock every friday on CBS. It's about a vampires obviously. Starring Alex O'Loughlin as Mick St. John. Mick was a human in the 1950's, turned by his wife, Coraline on their honeymoon [he obviously didn't know she was a vampire]. Coraline was from a royal family of 8 (7 brothers and 1 sister) turned by the same person in the 16th Century. Mick is a P.I. The big story begins around 22 years before the story takes place. This is when Coraline kidnapps five year old Beth Turner, planning on turning her to lure Mick (they were seperated) and add to the family. It works partly. Mick is lured, stabs Coraline in the heart before she can turn Beth, saves Beth, and burns down the place with Coraline in it. 22-ish years later, the show starts. And then we find out that Coraline survived...

The House of Night Series

First off, I would like to warn anybody thinking about reading this series is that there are increasingly more PG 13 parts the farther you get into the series.

The story begins in Marked, by P.C. and Kristen Cast. The book starts the adventure of newly marked, yet super special fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird. The other books in the series are Betrayed and Chosen. It basically goes through like she's a normal teenager for many parts, but she always ends up doing something special in the end. Woo! [sarcasm is my best art].

P.S. This book is highly girly and I only read it because a lot of my friends (the ones that are girls) were talking about the book all the time and I never had any clue what they were talking about.

The Scrying Glass

As an exception to the normally posted vampire book stuff, I recently saw a school play that I would like to discuss. It is called the Scrying Glass and it was full of amazing acting. It took place during the Salem witch Hysteria and showed everyone how saving your own skin with lies can get very out of hand. I LOVED IT!

Twilight Series

Where to start...

The Twilight series is probably the best Vampire series on the planet (tied with The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod of course!). Beginning with Twilight, a new saga rivaling Harry Potter (which is kicked off the Bestseller list thanks to Stephanie Meyer) is born. It left fans begging for more after reading the amazing story of the Cullen coven. The story proved to be an amazing adventure keeping me excited throughout. It also included a romance (yuck) between vampire Edward Cullen and human Bella Swan (surprisingly enough, the mush didn't stop me from reading). And the adventure continued with new adventures in New Moon, and Eclipse.

The next installment, Breaking Dawn is scheduled for release on August 2, 2008.

Vladimir Tod

Ok.....
I just finished The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod: Ninth Grade Slays today, and it was AWESOME!!! I don't want to give it away, but... those who read it will know what I mean when I say these next lines.

Who knew friends could be such backstabers... I mean Joss goes way over the top with this expression.
And since when do the undead over work the "undead" statement? Some people just won't stay dead!
And the Pravus definatly brings the "take over the world" thing to a new level!

Ok... so that's it for now, I might add more later.

Welcome

Hello and Welcome to my Vampire fan blog (don't worry, I'm not the only vampire I will talk about). You can call me Aki (short for Akira Morita), as that is my Japanese name according to that weird name generater. I might not update frequently, because I barely have any free time, and when I do, I usually spend it reading about Vampires.

My first post (not including this one), as a dedicated minion to Auntie Heather (author of the Vladimir Tod Series) will be about Vladimir Tod. Anybody reading this will have to check back frequently if they want to catch the post.
